Selling Skill of Asking Questions

This book discusses insight on transforming sales interactions into interview-like sessions. The key technique highlighted is the ability of adept salespeople to uncover deeper customer needs by probing further with questions whenever a customer inquires about something. This method concentrates on identifying the true question or need behind the customer’s initial question.

QBQ! The Question Behind the Question, already a phenomenon in its self-published edition, addresses the most important issue in business and society today: personal accountability.

The lack of personal accountability has resulted in an epidemic of blame, complaining, and procrastination. No organization individual achieves goals, competes in the marketplace, fulfills a vision, or develops people and teams without personal accountability.

The solution involves an entirely new approach. We can no longer ask, “Who dropped the ball?” “Why can’t they do their work properly?” or “Why do we have to undergo all these changes?” Instead, every individual has to ask the question behind the question: “How can I improve this situation?” “What can I contribute?” or “How can I make a difference?”

Retire, Rewire, ReFire

Retire, Rewire, ReFire

Retire

On May 1, 2024, I’ll be retiring from my programming job of 25 years with UCHealth. Including other prior jobs, that will be approximately 30 years of sitting in front of a computer screen. Holy sweet awesomeness am I ever excited to start a new adventure!

Rewire

With all those years doing the same type of work, I thought it would be a great idea to start off by accomplishing a goal I had long ago planned. In 1993 while still in college, I decided I was going to bike across the USA after graduating in 1995. Graduation came with the reality of how much college debt I had accrued, and I regrettably decided to let that dream go and follow the rest of the pack out into the workforce.

June 2024, I will be reawakening my dream and making it come true!

ReFire

Starting anew. Fresh.

This year I’ll be purchasing a cargo van and building it out to a camper van. When I retire next year I’ll be selling the house, bike across the USA, and then start living the nomadic van life.

The mystery of money

We continue with our series. And today I want to start with a question that I want you to think about prayerfully.

Why is it that Bill Gates can form a foundation, that is Bill Gates foundation and invite his friends to give into it, not 20usd or 50 USD but billions of dollars, and he is not attacked but praised for it. Yet, the pastor tries to do the same drive to raise a fund for sending missionaries out, building fund for the church etc., All for winning souls for Christ, he gets all forms of attacks? Is the church not allowed to use relational capital?

Whilst you are getting your head around that question, let me define certain terms that will make my assignment easier today.

Money
Money is a medium of exchange. It started as barter trade, then seashells, and at some point our forefathers were using gold and silver as medium of exchange and store of value.
But now we have money, which is a fiat. Money is potentially good if not put to use. Until it’s channelled to a godly cause, it remains useless or potentially evil.

Currency
Currency is what we use to transact. This is when money is put into circulation or spend. That’s why hoarding money is disastrous to any economy, even in the spiritual economy it’s equally true.
So, in short, money turns into currency when it’s spend.

Capital
This is when money is assigned to a business venture or an economic activity that brings a return on that investment.
Now for you to appreciate the relevance of this particular post, you have to understand that the natural economic system is not as natural as you think it’s very spiritual, but it’s subjected and dominated by the devil. The bible calls it the Babylonian system.
This system is very oppressive and rewards more economic value to entertainment ,those things that doesn’t add value.
It’s a system where teachers, preachers, nurse etc , are less appreciated than a Hollywood porn star or boxer. The people who add value to the ecosystem are taxed more than the twisted. It’s a system that creates social classes based on riches, gender, race, and tribes.

No one is at peace, even the rich feel guilt for having that system that rewards them for nothing whilst people who deserve to be appreciated wallow in lack. It’s a system that cheats people out of their purposes and rewards them with money.

My Kitchen, My Choice

By extension then, a stove would emit 157 pounds a year, though that doesn’t include emissions from manufacture, etc. Put another way – each year a gas stove releases the equivalent emissions of driving a gasoline car about  144 miles.

In response to the possibility of any mandated ‘mitigation’ strategies, this comment appeared on Twitter a few days ago: “My kitchen, my choice”. I thought this variation of “My body, my choice” was quite funny and apropos!
